If you plan on using cypress shiplap siding, but you want a solid color finish, we highly recommend factory finishing each board with a high quality oil based primer. The oil in the primer penetrates the wood and protects more than just the surface of the board from moisture, it also protects the wood from harmful UV rays. Once primed the siding can be installed giving you a 30-45 day window to apply the top coat of paint.

Note: As an option we can machine apply one coat of primer and one two coat of high quality latex paint (your choice of color) for maximum protection - the choice is yours.

Grades Available

Many of our products are available in Select (highest grade possible - occasional tight pin knot acceptable) or #2 Common Grade - sound and possible unsound knots are acceptable.

Profiles Available

The profile shown above is a Nickle Gap profile but a Square Edge (no gap) profile is available as well.
