We take the beauty of natural Cedar shiplap siding and factory finish it in this beautiful Bleaching Stain to give your home a true custom look. This Bleaching Stain is designed to accelerate the natural weathering process of unfinished wood. In this formulation is a small amount of gray to give it a gray stained look but as the wood is exposed to the natural elements the color will change to a "natural driftwood gray color". Typically it will take 3-6 months for the finish to achieve a uniform weathered look. It's not unusual for the final product to look a little darker or lighter based on the texture (smooth versus rough sawn) and natural color variations found in the wood. We machine apply the stain, which allows us to make sure all six sides get coated. When factory finished, the wood is protected against water and sun damage that can occur when installing raw and then painting or staining in the field. The stain provides a water repellent and mildew resistant rich finish.
