If you plan on using Cypress tongue and groove nickel gap siding, but you want a solid color finish, we highly recommend factory finishing each board with a high-quality oil based primer. The oil in the primer penetrates the wood and protects more than just the surface of the board from moisture, it also protects the wood from harmful UV rays. Once primed the siding can be installed giving you a 30-45 day window to apply the top coat of paint. Note: As an option we can machine apply one coat of primer and one two coat of high quality latex paint (your choice of color) for maximum protection - the choice is yours.
Many of our products are available in Select (highest grade possible - occasional tight pin knot acceptable) or #2 Common Grade - sound and possible unsound knots are acceptable.
Profile shown above is a smooth face Square Edge Nickel Gap/No Gap profile which gives you a distinct shiplap look on one side and a no-gap flat board look on the other.
