We take the charm of Cedar tongue and groove siding and then factory machine finish each board in an alkyd oil primer. This oil based primer allows the final top coat(s) to bond correctly for either field coating or topping with a solid paint in the factory. This primer needs to be topcoated within 30-45 days after being installed. All six sides are coated to seal the wood from any further moisture absorption.
