Bevel Siding (also known as clapboard, lap siding or weatherboard) is a type of siding where the boards are installed horizontally with the top board overlapping the bottom to provide a seal to protect the interior of the home. The use of Western Red Cedar for bevel siding is one of the most widely-used siding types. The bottom side (or butt side) will be thicker than the top side of the board and most of the time one side will be rough cut and the other side will be smooth.

This beautiful material has been prefinished on all six sides with a rich, penetrating stain. The stain finish is a transparent Cedar Tone designed to protect the wood from moisture and harmful UV rays.

Wood Grades:

Clear Vertical Grain - This is the highest bevel siding grade. All Clear V.G. Heart grade is sawn vertical grain (edge grain) and is kiln-dried. Pieces have a smooth face of decay-resistant heartwood and are free from growth characteristics that affect appearance or performance. Pieces have excellent dimensional stability and hold finishes exceptionally well.
