Description Coverage / Size Information
 
Cedar Valley shingle panels are a great way to achieve the look of real Cedar Shingle siding without all the painstaking work of hanging individual shingles. Each shingle panel is handmade in their manufacturing facility in California and use three layers of high-quality materials to construct each panel. The first layer is a backer board made from 11/32" Doug Fir plywood which provides the base for the panel. The outer material is Kiln dried western red cedar shingles hand-selected for the proper size of the panel. Sandwiched between the backer board and the shingles is a premium fiberglass matte which provides additional UV protection and durability. Cedar Valley strongly recommends that these panels be prefinished in a factory with a minimum semi-transparent stain before installation.

Our Cape Cod Gray color is created by using a semi-transparent deep penetrating stain. This stain will accentuate the natural wood grain and character to give a more rustic look to the panel. The stain is factory machine applied to five sides giving it protection against water and harmful UV rays from the sun.
